CHILDREN'S UNIVERSITY VISIT TO FLAMBOROUGH

admin on: Class 3 Blog

Dear Mrs Hansell,
Thank you for your feedback. We all thoroughly enjoyed working with you. Your pupils are a true credit to your school. They all fully embraced the experience and made the most of every opportunity and task we asked them to complete.
It was incredible to see your children as their confidence and self esteem built throughout the day.  You must be incredibly proud.
I'm looking forward to our Hornsea Seagulls experience next week.
With very best wishes.
Lisa

SATs week and tests

admin on: Class 3 Blog

The Year 6 children have been doing their SATs this week and the Year 5 have been doing tests too-we are so proud of them all. They have had a great attitude towards the tests and tried hard.

One more test to go tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

Exit Point Morning

admin on: Class 3 Blog

Children in Class 3, on Wednesday morning, organised and led exciting activities for their Parents and family members which were linked to the learning they have been doing this last term.

The morning was well attended and it was very successful.

The children said afterwards that they felt it had gone well and reflected that their work in Primary Edge since September has helped them not only grow in confidence but also has developed the different key skills of Communication, Organisation, Initiative, Resilience and Leadership.

Well done Class 3!

P & O Ferries

admin on: Class 3 Blog

At Hornsea Burton Primary, we are delighted to be working with the Children’s University. We visited Hull Docks to find out about the different jobs that people do. We had a guided tour around a ferry and designed our own cruise liners.

In art, we found out about Charles Fazzino and now he creates his unique cityscapes. We then created our own 3D are cities.
