Jewellery in School

We strongly recommend that your child does not wear jewellery in school. This is on the grounds of health and safety, and also to avoid unnecessary upset should a piece of jewellery be lost.

If you wish to allow your child to wear jewellery, please limit this to a watch and a pair of stud earrings. We must advise you that both items should be removed during PE lessons. This is based on DfES guidelines on Health and Safety in PE.

Should you wish to disregard this advice we would ask you to sign and return the letter below to school,  accepting full responsibility should your child be involved in an accident in PE, due to his/her wearing jewellery.
